On June 2nd Project Save-A-Life held their first “hands only” CPR training and challenge event at Massaponax High School. This event’s goal was to challenge the students and staff members of Massaponax H.S. and Spotsylvania H.S. to show up and receive “hands only” CPR training.
Congratulations to Massaponax High School for bringing in the most people and winning this challenge! Thank you to all community members that participated in this event regardless of any High School affiliation. The main objective of Project Save-A-Life is to increase public awareness about the importance of early CPR and defibrillation in the event of sudden cardiac arrest. Everybody counts!
We would like to thank the many volunteers that helped in making this event possible. Volunteers like you are truly valuable to Project Save-A-Life. We hope you had fun and we hope you will consider donating your time again in the future.
Thank you to the local business that donated to Project Save-A-Life. Your donations were greatly appreciated!
We wanted to also thank Gwyneth's Gift and E.W Jackson who sponsored our event. Gwyneth's Gift provided training equipment and greatly appreciated guidance. E.W. Jackson provided t-shirts and pizza for the volunteers. Both Gwyneth's Gift and E.W. Jackson provided assistance with advertisement and motivational support to the importance of Project Save-A-Life.
We are especially grateful to Spotsylvania Sheriff's Dept. and Rappahannock Medical Reserve Corps for participating in our first event.
