First Working Structure fire of New Year Displaces Mother and Daughter

Units were dispatched to working structure fire on Lyons Ln. In the western part of Spotsylvania County. Units arrived on the scene to notice a farm house a third of the way involved and heavy fire conditions. The house was a good way off the road which made water supply a challenge and a tanker task force was added. Units from as far away as Company 9 were dispatched to assist with the water supply. Cold temptures made for icy fire conditions and another challenge. Units remained on the scene for several hours trying to contain the fire.
