"Hear The Beep Where You Sleep" For A Free Pizza For National Fire Prevention Week

On Tuesday and Wednesday night members of Spotsylvania Volunteer Fire Department helped deliver pizzas for Domino's in support of National Fire Prevention Week. Members followed Domino's drivers and checked local homes for working smoke detectors. If the smoke detectors were in working condition the pizza was awarded to the home owners. Join us for "Hear the Beep Where You Sleep."

SVFD has partnered with NFPA and Domino's Pizza to make sure you hear the beep where you sleep.

SVFD will be delivering pizzas for Domino's and if you allow us into your home to check your smoke detectors Domino's will buy your pizza. However if they don't work we will replace batteries to be sure you can hear the beep where you sleep.

On Saturday evening units were dispatched to a Motor vehicle accident on Marye Rd near French Acres Ln. First reports were of one patient with cuts to the face. When units arrived on the scene they reported one vehicle off the road way with one person on the ground the other still inside the vehicle. Large Debris Feild Closes Interstate

On Saturday afternoon units were dispatched to a Motor vehicle accident on Interstate 95 just north of the 118 mile marker. When units arrived they reported a pickup truck pulling a camper had crossed all three lanes of northbound 95 and had scattered debris across all travel lanes.
