Fire Destroys Mansfield Street Home

Battalion Chief Jason Carter, August 30

Just prior to 9am Sunday August 30th units were alerted to a residential structure fire in the 100 block of Mansfield St. When Crews arrived on the scene they reported a 1 and half story home well involved. Crews began operations by darking the fire down from the exterior before transitioning to an interior attack. No one was inside the home and no one was injured in the blaze. The cause of the fire ... Brush Fire Turns Into Shed Fire On Piedmont Drive

On Friday Evening Units were dispatched to a possible brush fire on Smith Station Rd. Updated location was behind a church located at the intersection of Piedmont Dr and Smith Station. When units arrived they reported one shed fully involved spreading in the wood line. Additional units were added to help contain the brush fire. The cause is still under investigation.... MVA With Entrapment Jeff Davis Hwy.

On Thursday Evening August 27th units were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident on Jeff Davis Hwy near Old Telegraph Rd. Sherriff office units were on the scene reporting one vehicle off the road way with one person entraped. When units arrived on the scene they confirmed deputies reports. Firefighters Participate In Charity Basketball Game

MVA Lake Anna Parkway.

On Sunday Afternoon units were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident on Lake Anna Parkway. First reports were of a vehicle overturned with people still inside. An additional report said that all parties were out of the vehicle. When units arrived on the scene they confirmed one patient out of the vehicle. Firefighter Ryan Parent FF, August 13

Wednesday night August 12th 2015 the Spotsylvania Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to a structure fire on Monticello Drive at 7:01pm. When Engine 4 arrived on scene they reported that fire was showing on the Charlie side (Back Side) of the structure. On Saturday August 8th units were dispatched to a car fire at the intersection of Atlantic dr and Southpoint parkway near Wal-Mart. Units arrived on the scene to find one vehicle 50% involved. Fire Destroys Ridge Road Home

Battalion Chief Jason Carter, July 18

On Saturday July 18th units were dispatched to a reported residential structure fire on Ridge rd near Lake Anna. Battalion Chief 1C was first unit on the scene and advised heavy fire conditions thru most of the home and that this would be a defensive operation.
