On Sunday April 12th the Spotsylvania Volunteer Fire Department teamed up with the Spotsylvania County Sherriff’s office for the 4th Annual Autism Awareness Day at Classic Iron Motorcycles. Around 1am on April 7th units were dispatched to a residential structure fire in the 10000 block of Wisteria dr. Possible Commercial Structure Fire Country Inn and Suites

On Monday evening units were dispatched to a possible structure fire at Country Inn and Suites located near 4 mile fork. When units arrived they reported smoke in the lower level near the conference room. Further investigation found smoke coming from a common area outside the structure in some mulch between the hotel and the adjacent Denny’s. Large Brush Fire Threatens Businesses And Homes Off Mine Rd

At approximately 5:27 pm on April 5, 2015, multiple citizens called into Emergency Communication Center (ECC) to report a trees on fire at Falcon Drive and Mine Road. Other passer bys reported the endangerment of multiple houses and business. The first unit arrived on scene at 5:33 P.M. and reported large fire with pine trees involved.

On Thursday evening April 2nd, units were dispatched to Monrovia Rd in Belmont for a reported structure fire. First reports were heavy smoke coming from the rear of the structure. When first crews arrived they reported the residence being 75% involved. Upon arrival crew found one vehicle off the roadway into a tree that had appeared to have rolled several times. Units were dispatched at 11:14 for a reported residential structure fire. The first unit arrived within four minutes of receiving the call at 11:18. They reported a two story residential structure with fire through the roof. Handlines were pulled and an exterior attack was made to knock the fire down. MVA On Stanfield Road

At 0556 this morning units were alerted for an auto accident on Stanfield Rd. It was reported to be a vehicle ripped in half. Upon their arrival they found a single vehicle ripped in half. There were no occupants in or around the vehicle and crews checked the area with the thermal imaging camera to make sure the area was clear. The Sheriff's Office is investigating....
