Spotsylvania Volunteer Fire Department is committed to protecting the people, property, and the environment of our community.
Santa is Coming!
SVFD members met with the Big Guy tonight to begin the prep for our annual Santa Runs. While we don’t have all the details figured out yet, we wanted to go ahead and share some important information for you to keep in mind as we approach this Season.
Most importantly, we will not be visiting any cul-de-sacs this year in subdivisions, only the main streets. Please be prepared that you may need to drive or walk to a Main Street to see Santa. There will be a tracker as before that will show you ahead of time exactly where he will be traveling.
Santa wants to remind everyone that our small group of volunteers cannot possibly visit every street and subdivision in Spotsylvania county. Please be prepared to possibly travel elsewhere. There will be no changes to the schedule unless deemed necessary.
Santa would also like to remind everyone to be respectful of our group of volunteers when posting on our social media pages. They recognize that they cannot please everyone, but they are doing their best while spending countless hours on Santa runs during the week and weekend away from their families. Don’t find yourself on the naughty list!
Stay tuned to our Facebook page and www.spotsyfire.org for updates on/before 18 November. The Santa Runs will begin Friday 25 November and end the night of 23 December. Santa will not be out every night of the week, but will be most nights. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
